A beautiful hiking destination with surprising nature!

The nature trail with the Moar-Lacke is very informative about trees and bird life - also recommended with children. Those who enjoy hiking can still conquer St. Michael with Rastberg or Stocker Kogel and further Elisabeth-Warte. From everywhere you have a fantastic view. Highly recommended also towards the end of April when the cider tree is in bloom. Nature transforms into its most beautiful colors.

Many snow roses bloom along the path, but it is also very nice to hike along the Ybbs.

The Donau-Auen National Park preserves the last large floodplain landscape in Central Europe on an area of more than 9,600 hectares. With its foundation in 1996, this jewel was placed under international protection. Since then, nature has been able to develop here free of economic constraints. By means of innovative revitalization projects, tributaries are reconnected to the river and natural banks of the Danube are promoted. The alluvial forests are developing into species-rich forest wilderness. According to the motto "Free flow. Wild forest." the original natural character returns to the floodplain landscape. Rare animal and plant species have returned or improved their populations. With the wide range of visitor facilities, excursions and events, guests can experience the Donau-Auen National Park, a regional center for environmental education and a popular destination.

Not only the Moar-Lacke, but the whole nature trail is worth a visit. Beautiful area and great information for young and old. You can also take a tour of the Stockerkogel from here. (comfortable approx. 45 minutes) - dream panorama from Sankt Michael via Seitenstetten, Sankt Peter to Weistach...

There is a lot of nature to explore and look at off the bike path.
