In 1965, the sculptor Wander Bertoni purchased a watermill in Winden am See, at the foot of the Leitha Mountains. On old cultural land (Roman villa, discovery of the oldest wine press on Austrian territory - second half of 200 AD) an art site of a very special kind and unique in Europe was created.
