Lake Bled / Bled Lake Formation of the Lake The unique shape of the lake as we know it today is no coincidence. You have a great view of the lake from here, even though there are quite a few people around.

From the promenade in Bled you have great views of the lake, island and castle. Quite busy here.

Lake Bled is an unmissable destination for anyone traveling to Slovenia. It is iconic for the small island located in the middle and the castle that rises above the lake. It also features hot springs and was among the candidates for the New Seven Wonders of the World. You can get around everything on foot or by bike; the distance is about six kilometers.

Boat trip to the island is really worth it. you have a great view of Bled and the mountains.

When I was on vacation at Lake Wörthersee, I drove here. It was breathtaking to walk through the gorge. That was one of the highlights of my vacation at Lake Wörthersee. 😊
