1993년 도나우 공원 내 아이리스 호수는 포플러 나무가 늘어선 기존의 모습을 그대로 두고 복원되었습니다. 이제 이곳을 통해 공급되고 산소가 풍부해진 지하수가 흐릅니다. 부들, 스완꽃, 갈대 등 다양한 식물들이 생물학적 정화 시스템을 형성합니다(자연적인 과정을 통한 산소 공급).

The fish ladder or fish bypass at the Greifenstein power plant is an important ecological measure to ensure the continuity of the Danube for fish despite the hydroelectric power plant. Since the Greifenstein power plant interrupts the natural course of the river, a bypass channel was created that allows fish to bypass the power plant and migrate upstream. This fish bypass is considered to be one of the largest and most important in Austria. A popular destination for nature lovers and cyclists, as it is integrated into the network of Danube cycle paths.

Especially in summer, the Ksiserwasser is simply wonderful. I went swimming in a tributary a few years ago in August.

The “Goldens Bründl” is a spring that was first mentioned in 1385. According to legend, there is a golden ring at the bottom of the spring. Rudolf von Habsburg is said to have received this from a mermaid. Legend also says that people who have never lied can see the ring at the bottom of the spring.

Nice place to jump into the water, well paved, but very narrow in places. Drive carefully!
