The Myra Falls are a series of waterfalls in the Myrabach in Muggendorf, Lower Austria. The Myra Falls are a popular destination for hikers, nature lovers and families who want to enjoy the impressive nature and the refreshing breeze. The Myra Falls are also a protected natural monument since 1885. To visit Myra Falls you have to pay a maintenance fee, which is used for the upkeep and maintenance of the site. You can buy your ticket online or at the on-site ticket office. Admission is €5 for adults and €1.50 for children aged 6 and over. You can also purchase a season ticket for 20 euros for adults and 6 euros for children, valid for the whole of 2023. The Myra Falls offer you various hiking and circular trails that lead past 11 themed stations. For example, you can learn more about the history of the Myra Falls, the use of water power, the old sawmill or the reservoir. You can also enjoy the beautiful view from the Hausstein or explore the Myrateich with its water playground. The hiking trails are mostly easy to moderately difficult and are suitable for all age groups.

The Gaisstein is not easy to climb, it goes steeply uphill through rough terrain and the path is not always easy to spot. BUT: The view at the top makes up for all the effort - you can enjoy a wonderful all-round view.

“Each of these crosses can tell its own story and what prompted people to erect “their” cross at this point. (...) These wayside crosses were erected as visible signs and attract the attention of many people. The cross is a symbol of life. It stands as a sign of our Christian hope and wants to direct our gaze to Jesus Christ, who has overcome death (...). The cross is part of our life as it was in the life of Jesus. So I wish that many people … visit the crosses, whether as places of stillness and breathing space before God, whether as places for community gatherings, prayer and praise to God.” (Text source: Dean Rainald M. Ollig in: "Crossroads... small sacred monuments as a sign of popular piety")

Great peak. Are "only" 1000 m, but feels much higher. On the way and on the summit you can see many ibexes.
