Kyzyl-Art, Kyzylarth (Kyrgyz: Kyzyl-Art; Tajik: Surkhkotal) is a mountain pass in the Zaalai Range on the Pamir Highway on the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The Osh-Khorog motorway passes through the pass. The pass is 4,280 metres above sea level.

Even in summer, it can be cold at the top. It may snow.

The road, coming from the south side, had also been affected by a landslide on the north side, but bulldozers have restored it. The road is wide, and the surface conditions improve as you descend. Be careful on some sections with sharp protruding rocks that could damage your tires. On the way down, there is no shelter until the old van indicated by Tristanbogaard.

If you cross this border post, enjoy the journey, but keep in mind that it can get complicated at any time due to the weather, it is very changeable and could put you in serious difficulties if you cross it and are not well supplied and equipped.

a wonderful pass, perfectly rideable from the north side (09/2024) (apart from a few gravelly interruptions). On the south side, not everything is easy to ride downhill - some passages are very gravelly, narrow and steep.

Perfectly laid out road with a fine surface. Only a few times is the piste affected by rock avalanches (winter) and is therefore rougher and/or briefly steeper for pushing.
