In summer there is a lot of activity here, as many "rubber boats" leave the water in front of the threshold and get back in after the threshold. The place is not entirely safe for the inexperienced. Many a boat trip has come to an untimely end here. 2 footbridges lead over the bridge, which enable a "dry" crossing of the Aare. The wide view along the Aare is a feast for the eyes in spring and summer.
