As so often over the centuries, only a ruin remains of the once imposing imperial castle (mentioned as such in documents in AD 1000). During the French occupation of the Rhineland, it suffered the typical fate: conquest and destruction.

A special highlight here on the Rhine... we were lucky enough to enjoy the fantastic view from the swing and to spend our break there... super nice

The new bridge has been open to traffic again since the end of 2022, I was there on February 4, 2023. A couple who know the area told me this, the man noticed behind the bridge that he had no air left in his tire, but luckily he had a spare tube with him.

Swinging is always an experience - unfortunately there was so much rush today that I didn't manage to swing myself. So here again!
