There are many higher mountains around the world. Nevertheless, it has a special charm.

A very scenic section, even if the term "gorge" often means that the hell gorge is only realized as such after the hike ;-)

There is a heavily musked forest above the Höllenschlucht. This is as romantic as the Hell Gorge.

Actually, all looks in the basin are fascinating and therefore you should walk around the bottom of the dead.

The absolute highlight is the view from all sides into the basin. Access to the valley is of course prohibited.

On the first hike through the Höllenschlucht we almost overlooked it, as it is more of a smaller version of a gorge ;-)

The Göttingen mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss carried out the survey of the Kingdom of Hannover by Triangulationim

Carl Friedrich Gauss was not only a mathematician but also the founder of modern land surveying. He divided the surface of the earth into triangles and was thus able to make a fairly accurate area measurement. This method is still the basis for land surveying and this stone reminds of it.
