Unfortunately, only a small section of the original Dillinger Weg remains. The main section is now closed after several landslides. Unfortunately, maintenance is too costly.

The "Geological Organs" are conglomerate rocks where carbonic acid seepage water has gradually eroded the limestone over millennia. The resulting stone tubes are up to 15 meters high.

Large blocks of solidified glacial gravel, stacked wildly on top of each other, characterize the “Devil’s Kitchen” in the valley of the eastern Günz. They come from the steep valley flank above, from where they broke off in the post-glacial period. As a rockfall or landslide, they slid down the valley on loose gravel and fine sediments of the tertiary subsoil.

Nice moderate climb with little traffic from Günzach to Aitrang. Great way to bypass the main road between Günzach and Kraftisried 😎👌

Update: The path was reopened today, Monday, October 7th, 2024 by the municipality of Wolfertschwenden. At the spring near Günzach there is a small park with an information board, Kneipp pool and benches.
