3 highlights were created here. They could have been combined into one. So the restaurant, tower and the Kaiserlinde are worthwhile.

With the Eder, Lahn and Dill one of the important sources of the great rivers in the Rothaargebirge.

The Obernau dam with its circular routes is always worth a visit. Clear recommendation to leave the paved path directly on the water and try a slightly larger arc over the forest paths.

The Kindelsberg and its tower are always worth a trip. It can be particularly nicely combined with the 14 kilometer long Kindelsberg path.

The Lahn rises here in a spring pot. The Siegquelle is only 3 km away and can be reached by bike in a few minutes.

You can also walk the route suggested by Komoot as a lap from the Obernautalsperre car park. If you don't want to be out and about on Sundays and public holidays, there is always plenty of free parking space here.

The source is of course the preferred place to start a bike tour along the Sieg. If you do not use the signposted bike route, you should know that the hiking trails around the spring are very root-heavy. So depending on the bike, there may also be one or the other sliding meter.

As a running route, I recommend going counter-clockwise. For walks it is advisable, depending on the position of the sun, to start clockwise in order to be able to soak up as much sun rays as possible.
