As of 09.2023: Thanks to the loggers and the harvester, the upper part of the path towards Dachtelfeld is badly destroyed and can hardly be found without Komoot Navi. If everyone clears away a stick it will be a great path again.

Nice trail, also good for beginners. Incidentally, you will be spoiled with a great view towards Deister. On sunny days, however, pedestrians are also out and about, so mutual consideration avoids stressful situations.

The first third of the trail is currently disintegrated and cut, carrying passages. From the first sink the trail is great.

The communications tower Barsinghausen (internal: radio transmission point Barsinghausen 2) is a 150 meter high communications tower of Deutsche Funkturm. It is located on the 361 meter high Great Neck within the Deister and was put into operation in 1969. Structurally, it is an FMT 2 type tower. For me as a beginner and for the first time in the Deister under the weather conditions, this is a challenge enough for now. It was very muddy / slippery in some places. The wide path also helped me to evade and look for the best route. If the path is drier, you can certainly drive here at a higher speed than today. In any case, it was a lot of fun despite the mud battle and was a nice tour for my birthday.

I also tend to be more careful going down there with my cross bike! I don't like patching the tires afterwards... otherwise great!
