The upper part of the flow trail is hand-shaped, a little more natural and rough than the lower part. In addition, you have to ride a short section of the “Little Hobbit” to get to the upper part, which can be a bit of a challenge for beginners... complete beginners should therefore start with the lower part of the flow trail after the first lift.

Great view down the valley to Oberammergau

The Kofel is a 1342 m high mountain in the Ammergau Alps in Bavaria. Due to its exposed location and striking shape, it can be seen from afar from the Ammergau and from the direction of Ettal. The summit is only about one kilometer as the crow flies from the center of Oberammergau.

This is not an S1 trail. This is S2. I think most bikers have to dismount at the lowest part, because very few will "jump" here.

Beautiful, easy S1 trail. Rooty, flowing and small jumps. Shortly before the end there is a big mud hole. I think that's supposed to be the "pig hole". Easily accessible via a car park near Hausen (near Wildsteig) then onto the Königsweg and, depending on your taste and time, choose one of the eastern uphills. The way back is idyllic, it goes through beautiful meadows, forests and through the odd stream. Easily doable even for not so totally fit bikers.
