Coming from the Pfeishütte, concentration is required from the Stempeljoch onwards. I always say: work it out carefully. Otherwise, the descent is straightforward. Then the Wilde-Buben-Steig is no problem.

Apart from the length, it is an uncomplicated, technically easy hike.

There are also small trampoline fields and a toddler area. For the older children, it's upstairs 😉. The anti-slip socks cost €3, so you also get a souvenir 😜😂

Beautiful exhibition with various themes. Great outdoor area, there is a lot on offer especially for children. For example: a whole multi-story indoor climbing tower, a large marble run, a nice playground with water, a carousel and a labyrinth. For the older ones there is a viewing tower with binoculars where you can see the mountains more closely. Another highlight is the lake with the glittering clouds. We really liked it. Our stay was about 4 hours.

The Eisengattergrat describes the easiest way up and the recommended way down from the Grosser Bettelwurf. The upper part is a via ferrata with difficulty levels A/B, the lower part is a normal hiking trail that is somewhat exposed in places. Danger of falling rocks, especially in the upper part, so a helmet is recommended.

At 2,725 m, the Bettelwurf is almost 2,500 m above the Inn Valley and offers an incredible view of it. There are also great views of the neighboring Karwendel peaks such as Hochnissl, Birkkarspitze and many more, and in good weather you can also see well towards the Stubai Mountains. The ascent can be made either via the Bettelwurf connecting path (via ferrata with difficulty level C/D) or more easily via the Eisengattergrat (via ferrata A/B). Both ascents are very beautiful, but the former requires a little more via ferrata experience. The Große Bettelwurf is a very distinctive and well-known mountain peak and is often climbed in conjunction with an overnight stay in the Bettelwurf hut. If you want to avoid crowds, you should set off early (or later in the afternoon).

Distinctive peak above the Inn Valley. A little climbing is required if you want to reach the summit. It is up to you whether you climb via the Hundskopf East Ridge or the Felix-Kuen-Steig. Personally, I would classify the East Ridge as somewhat more difficult due to the entry, but both are short and doable if you have some via ferrata experience.

A majestic peak that towers over the Inn Valley and overwhelms you with its breathtaking panorama. Every effort of the climb is rewarded when you let your gaze wander over the rugged beauty of the Karwendel.
