This is the view from the Tieftalsee towards Ortler and Piz Bernina.

Very challenging for inexperienced people, but it's worth it.

Especially in early summer it is wonderfully quiet here and you can enjoy the wonderful surroundings undisturbed.

The Berglisee (2,115 m) above the Ischgl hamlet of Mathon is one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Tyrol. The small lake captivates with its incredible color and idyllic surroundings.

The border between Switzerland (Canton of Graubünden) and Austria (State of Tyrol) runs somewhat unexpectedly through the Fimbatal. A sign indicates that the external border of the European Union is also located here. A border stone can be seen next to the path.

The Berglisee is simply a dreamy place. It is picture-perfect and is painted in the most beautiful blue, surrounded by green trees and with a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. There are several benches and barbecue areas on the shore. A little way below the lake there is an alpine pasture (not managed) where you can fill up your water supply at a spring.

When you come from the Flimsattel, the last part is really not without its problems, my Garmin showed >20% and that was on gravel.

"Insider tip" (since not signposted) with one of the best views of the Silvretta mountains. Easy to get to, the trail is faintly marked but basically easy to find.
