The striking quartzite rock is a popular viewing point on the Rüdesheim History Trail! According to the information board, it is part of a very hard quartzite ridge that continues under the Rhine to Bingen Castle Klopp.

Well chosen spot for the wine view. Located directly below the ruins, there is a great view of the Rhine Valley. Ascent and descent via the Rheinsteig should only be undertaken in dry weather and/or by experienced hikers. Otherwise, please follow the diversion.

The Rauenthal wine tasting stand is located at the edge of town in the direction of Bubenhäuser Höhe. In addition to fixed tables and benches, seating invites you to linger. The hill offers good views of Eltville on the Rhine and the opposite side of the Rhine, as well as the main ridge of the Taunus Mountains. The place has comfortable benches where you can linger.
