La Croix de Javerne is a picturesque peak in the Swiss Alps that offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It can be accessed by a difficult loop which leaves from Javerne, a small village near Frenières-sur-Bex. The trail climbs steeply through forests and meadows, passing a bunker and a mountain hut. The summit of the Croix de Javerne is marked by a wooden cross and a signpost, where you can take a well-deserved break and admire the panorama. The path then descends to La Tourche, another refuge, and follows a stream to return to Javerne.

A steep and rocky summit, in the ridge leading to the summit of the Dent de Morcles. The summit overlooks what remains of the Morcles Glacier, giving this peak a real mountain atmosphere. The trails leading to this point and down from there follow a winding and beautiful ridge, with modesty of exposure at times.
