The forests in this area consist of a healthy mix of coniferous and deciduous trees. There is a wide range of different flora and fauna to see. There are dense areas of forest, but also open plains with dune sand on which beautiful heather plants grow that turn completely purple at the right time of year. A fantastic sight. This route is easy to reach from Putsebaan 30 in Huijbergen. At the height of 40+ Camping/Chaletpark De Staartse Duinen ( www.staartseduinen.nl ). Here you can park your car and then continue on foot. When you walk past the campsite it quickly becomes clear that it is located right next to the forest in a unique location. For example, the hiking trails ''Vos'' and ''Ree'' are very close and easy to connect to. Mountain biking is also ideal here. There are special trails (Single Tracks) for the sporty cyclist.
