The Tahko Stairs at Huutavanholma are Finland’s longest outdoor stairs, with 1,054 steps climbing approximately 800 meters up Tahko Hill. Built in 2017, they offer a challenging but rewarding ascent through scenic forested terrain. At the top, you’ll find an observation tower with panoramic views over the surrounding lakes and countryside. Whether you're after a workout or a nature-filled climb, these stairs provide a unique way to experience the beauty of Tahko.

The northern shore of the rapids is part of the protected areas within the Southern Konnevesi National Park. From the parking area, there is a trail approximately 400 meters long leading to the Kellarilahti shore, one of the designated landing sites in the national park. By the rapids, there is a cooking shelter, and from its shore, a small bridge allows access to a tiny island surrounded by the rapids.

The Orinoro Gorge was formed by meltwater flows at the end of the last ice age, around 10,000 years ago. A stream of meltwater that flowed northwest to southwest as the ice sheet retreated cleared the gorge of loose rock and soil.
