The view of Lake Pielinen from Ukko-Koli hill is one of the most famous in Koli National Park. The peak of Ukko-Koli is 354 metres above sea level and 253 metres above the surface of Lake Pielinen. The Koli peaks are the southernmost peak areas in Finland where large amounts of crown snow accumulate.

The parking lot below the Koli is free. The cable car runs from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and works like a lift on demand and is free of charge.
