살렘‬에서 가장 멋진 ‪7‬개의 천연기념물

Inscribed on the Swedish World Heritage List in 1993, Birka and Hovgården bear witness to the Viking trading network. These were the 200 years during which the Vikings expanded economically and politically in Europe. Hovgården was the king's residence. The remains of a royal court have been dated similarly to Birka. The royal court survived after Birka's demise. A richly decorated stone (Håkanstenen) with runic inscriptions from that period can still be found there today.

There are a number of burial fields and mounds nearby, the oldest graves apparently dating from the late Bronze Age.

Nice reserve to walk in, small loop of 2.5 km in the forest and along the water. Parking is free and limited to 72h, which gives time to explore outside the reserve.

One of Sörmland's best preserved ancient castles with a beautiful view and a fire place. The path to the castle is well signposted and there is an information sign with some more information about the ancient castle.

The small lake Bårsjön that is mostly covered with floating plants and the area is rich in frogs, birds and home to a lot of rare red-listed plants like the Herzogiella Moss. Ideal place to take a break and listen to/observe the nature.
