The mountain crevice is approximately 100 meters long, 10 meters deep and 0.5-2.5 meters wide. It was created around 100 million years ago in a weak spot in the rock. Over time, erosion and weather influences have created the crevice.
If you are in bird watching a must to visit. (And if not a most interesting place to visit anyway). Lies directly at the Kattegatleiden circa 6 km out of Varberg direction Goeteborg.

The Bocksten Man (Bockstensmannen), the remains of a medieval man's body, was found on this site. It's one of the best-preserved finds in Europe from that era and is exhibited at the Halland Museum of Cultural History.
