The Nässja Shipyard is located in Nässja in Vadstena Municipality. The shipyard is part of a larger cemetery on the Nässjö peninsula jutting into Lake Vättern. It was discovered and excavated in 1953.

One of the most beautiful naturums in Sweden

Its largest visitor zone is on the south side of the lake. In naturum Tåkern there is an imaginative exhibition about the nature of the lake, a film room, a laboratory and a souvenir shop. The Naturum guides are friendly, competent and inspiring. A long ramp for disabled people and wheelchair users leads up to the observation tower between the trees. From here you can watch the bird life on the lake, but especially on the islands near the shore where black-headed gulls breed. A four-kilometer hiking trail offers good opportunities to get to know Tåkern. The path leads through the riparian forest and over wet meadows.
