The Madamète pass is a pedestrian mountain pass perched at an altitude of 2,508 meters between Lavedan and the Aure valley. It marks one of the northern entrances to the Néouvielle reserve. You can observe one of the many lakes in this preserved area.

Located at 2,041 meters above sea level, dets Coubous is a reservoir lake. In other words, it is a water reservoir whose level is controlled and which fulfills utility purposes (sanitation system, irrigation, etc.). In addition to its usefulness, this body of water offers a splendid panorama of the Néouvielle reserve. It is also the first in a long series of lakes. It marks, as it were, the northern entrance to the reserve.

The Coubous cabin is an open and unguarded refuge. It is located at an altitude of 2,041 meters on the edge of the eponymous lake. There is very little wood around, so if you are planning to light a fire in the fireplace to warm up the atmosphere a little, we suggest you bring it from the valley. Which is also the general usage.
