We arrived at 12:00, which was at least 90 minutes late, even though there were occasional breaks in the clouds. But we did miss the cloud-free view a bit 😒 There's a seating area at this point. You can walk about 20 meters further, where the view is even better and you have a better chance of the clouds breaking.

Very nice views along the way and the pool is really worth seeing! However, it is more or less exclusively uphill and then downhill, making it a quite sporty hike despite the short length! From the car park you can walk to the Moulin à l'eau (historic mill) in a few minutes to cool off in the cold, clear water. There is also a beautiful cycle route there.

Cap Noir is a place that offers one of the most famous viewpoints in Mafate with the Piton Cabris which rises right in the middle of the panorama. A small kiosk is located at the spot accessible from Dos d'Âne.

Apart from periods of flooding, Deux Bras is the most accessible entry and exit point of the Cirque de Mafate. It is located at the junction between the pebble river and the arm of Suzanne. It can be accessed by 4x4 or by the descent of Dos d'Ane.

Very beautiful basin, in the rainy season you can also see the waterfall. After having climbed from the car park, it is advisable to start on the left in the fork, and make a loop.
