Beautiful cabin

The Capanna Brogoldone is an alpine pasture with two main huts. One hut can accommodate up to 59 people. The other hut houses a small restaurant. Amazing views from up there!

The Capanna Brogoldone was once a mountain pasture and is today the result of a desire to preserve the remains of a bygone era. From 1995 to 1998, a group of volunteers set to work renovating the two existing buildings while maintaining the typical structure of the pasture: the former stable became a dormitory, and the building that once served as a cheese dairy and shelter for the mountain herders was converted into a kitchen and dining room. Capanna Adula UTOE, located at 2393 m in Val Carassina (Ticino), has been managed since 2018 by Lisa and Ciril with the support of UTOE Bellinzona. It offers a warm welcome, home cooking with local products and a strong commitment to sustainability. It is the ideal starting point for climbing Adula (3402 m), the highest peak in Ticino, and for trekking and mountaineering routes. It has dormitories, services and a large panoramic terrace. Open from 29 May to 4 October 2025, it requires advance booking for overnight stays and meals.

The Prou hut is located on the alp of the same name and offers a splendid view of the valley.

The Quarnei hut offers a breathtaking view of the Malvaglia valley. Here, it is possible to taste tasty typical dishes and also stop for the night (there are 58 beds). The hut is also an excellent starting point for excursions to the surrounding lakes and peaks.

On a panoramic terrace overlooking the Lumino valley, stands the Brogldone hut. Excellent for a break to fill up on energy!
