The site is indeed beautiful! There are several paths to access the summit from the less sporty on the east side to the most sporty via the south of the relief.

The twin sister of La Riche de Solutré! This one is less shaded and more sporty if you start the hike due south. I recommend doing it in the early morning in summer.

Culminating at 495 meters, the Roche de Solutré is located in the heart of the Grand Site de France, made up of Solutré, Pouilly and Vergisson. Follow in the footsteps of former President François Mitterrand and make the climb. Climb this small peak and discover a spectacular panorama over the Mâconnais vineyards. A stopover is also a must at the prehistory museum located at the foot of the rock. The opportunity to better understand the archaeological value of the site.

The "Poype" of St Cyr is quite well preserved, 9 m high for a diameter of about 40 m, it was surrounded by partly filled ditches today and was probably surmounted by a summary construction and must have had a modest palisade. The farmyard seems to have extended over an area of several thousand square meters. In 1970, the archaeological layer yielded various fragments of Roman tiles, pottery, small pieces of iron. These remains attest to an occupation between the 11th and 13th centuries. An explanatory panel is located in front.
