I went running in this beautiful forest inhabited by fairies, elves and the legend of Gargantua. The very tired giant sat on the sleeping volcano. His indescribable weight collapsed the mountain. The Parc de Montjuzet is the largest park in Clermont-Ferrand and is located on a small former volcano, from which it takes its name. The hill overlooks the city to the north, making it a privileged viewpoint over the city and its surroundings. Here you will find a garden with Mediterranean (Provencal cypress, umbrella pine, holm oak, olive tree) and exotic tree species (Chinese palm, various eucalyptus species, nothofagus, monkeys' despair). It also houses four beehives and a communal garden.

The Puy d'Anzelle was once a vineyard but it has given way to nature. A little lower than the Puy de Baneil, it still offers beautiful views of the Clermontoise area, with the Puys chain in the background.

The access is a bit rough from the plain, but you can get there by car and go around the plateau.
