Fantastic geological phenomenon. After a long dry spell, the water is a bit greasy from the sun cream used by the bathers. ;-)

Versam has a quaint hotel-brewery-restaurant, Rössli. From there begins a short but excellent descent to two bridges (one old, one new, both open) across the Rhine Gorge. Then an easy short climb to a balcony road above the gorge, complete with short tunnels and great views into the gorge.

Before entering the Safiental valley, there are two bridges crossing the Versamer Tobel. One historic bridge and one new bridge, which has been open to traffic since 2012. The second bridge, built in 1897, can now only be used on foot or by bicycle. Prepare yourself for a spectacular view of the deep ravine.
