Further up the forest you can carefully descend into the riverbed

quite high up in the forest you can go to bed and marvel at the fascination of the enormous water power

The path passes under two gigantic boulders that form a short natural tunnel, called Sass de la vegia.

The Cama lake is located at 1265 m. The lake remains frozen from around mid-November to the end of April, and is enclosed in a closed rocky basin downstream made up of the Piz d'Ugin and Piz de Cressim.

The Cama lake (1265 m) After a walk of approx. 2.5 hours from Cama, you almost suddenly come across the Cama lake. Here you can take a nice regenerating and refreshing bath after the efforts of the climb. The lake remains frozen from around mid-November to the end of April, and is contained in a rocky basin closed downstream by torrential barriers and accumulations of debris detached from the Piz d'Ugin and Piz de Cressim above.

The path has been re-marked from Refugio San Jorio. These contain approx. 300hm more and vertical climbing on chains and steps. Dangerous with heavy luggage. 9 hours are very optimistic. It took us about 15 hours with large backpacks.
