Level T4 ascent, difficult route for experienced hikers, but with few exposed sections and easily passable. Caution is advised in late summer due to snow.

Pizzo di Claro or Visagno, at 2727 m, is a beautiful, little-frequented peak located on the border between the Swiss cantons of Ticino and Grisons. The climb from Piz de Molinera is more demanding than that of the east side.

Great summit, not busy, I liked the climb from the south (coming from Piz de Molinera), summit in view, some scrambling, more challenging than the east side, which for me is more of a suitable descent route (with sticks)

Bivouac with 8 beds, blankets and pillows, internal bathroom with shower, hot water boiler, gas, economical stove, electricity. Beautiful and well-stocked like many others in these areas

Nice flowing trail. A detour to the summit is definitely worth it.

From here it gets fun. Even marmots whistled at me...

In the First World War, the alp was a point where ammunition was stored. The niches in which they were hidden are still visible today. Today it is simply a beautiful alp with a fantastic view of the plains from Bellinzona to Biasca and the starting point for fantastic trails down to Bellinzona.

A classic hike to the Motto della Croce viewpoint with a wonderful panoramic view of Lake Maggiore and the Riviera in the other direction. On a clear day, the view extends as far as the 4000 m high mountains of the Monte Rosa massif. The tour begins at the SBB train station in Bellinzona. From here it goes up to Artore and the Alpe Pian Laghetto, where a zigzag path meanders into a chestnut and birch forest and finally continues to the Monti di Artore. You can reach the cross on a hiking trail that becomes a little steeper from here.
