One of my favorite places in the Bruche Valley. Below the Champ du Feu, the vegetation fades to enhance the landscape. You can perfectly observe the Donon and the surrounding peaks in a hilly landscape, especially if you climb Mont Saint-Jean. The place is perfect for a picnic in summer. And for the most gourmet, the Perheux farmhouse inn is only a few meters away.

If you come from the Col de la Charbonnière, it is only a few meters uphill again and then you have already reached the top of the pass.

Halfway between the charming hamlet of Hohwald and the Champ du Feu station, the Kreuzweg pass offers a pleasant stopover. In the middle of the imposing forest of the massif, it offers unobstructed views at an altitude of 768 meters. It is a good place to spend the night in the mountains with the presence of two farm inns. There is also an adventure park for the enjoyment of young people.

The Champ du Feu is a scenic mountainous region of Alsace, France. It offers stunning panoramic views, dense forests and is a popular destination for cycling, skiing and enjoying nature.

The Col du Kreuzweg d'Andlau is 13 km long with a total drop of 548 m. The average gradient is 4.2% with maximum gradients of 12%.

At this stage of the hike we are at the end of the climb, beginning of a 3km descent on a slightly technical single track.
