Algae fern (Azolla filiculoides) or called fairy moss.

red-brown stagnant water about 10-15 cm deep on the old Rhine between Marlen and Goldscheuer on the Rheinauenweg. The color is reminiscent of the Australian outback. Of course I made up the name myself. If a botanist comes by here, I would be interested to know what kind of plant it is. Thank you Wolfgang for the first information about it!
