Only the SUVs of the Kaiserstuhl residents, the motorcycle riders, and the village youth on mopeds are faster than the cyclists. But when the traffic is quieter, it's fun. It's nicer to head out of the Kaiserstuhl, towards Bötzingen, than the descent.

The descent in the direction of Bötzingen is one of the few routes in a wide area on which you can reach speeds of more than 80 kilometers per hour relatively safely and this is also justifiable from the safety point of view. Although the Black Forest offers many roads with a higher gradient, these are often narrower and, above all, more curvy.

Extremely scenic with an excellent view of the Black Forest. As a racing cyclist, you should be prepared for disrespectful drivers who overtake you far too quickly with far too little distance.

Nice climb from Oberbergen, however there is always a risk of being cut by motorists on weekends. Sometimes it pays to block the trail 🤷♂️
