Beautiful route with little traffic

One of the prettiest routes through the Kaiserstuhl, with very little traffic, especially recommended on a warm summer evening one to two hours before sunset.

The Adlerhorstsattel is a prominent elevation in the Kaiserstuhl, a low mountain range in south-west Germany. With a height of about 270 meters, it is not the highest peak in the range, but still offers an impressive view of the surrounding landscape. The name of the Adlerhorstsattel goes back to the former settlement of imperial eagles, who once built their nests here. Today, the majestic birds may no longer be found, but the name still evokes their past presence in the region. The Adlerhorstsattel is a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers. The Adlerhorstsattel is also a popular place for paragliding and hang-gliding, as there are often good thermal conditions here.
