Dwarf Cave

The Largue has its source in Oberlarg at an altitude of 500 m, near the Swiss border, and flows into the Ill at Illfurth after traveling 46 km. In the 19th century, it provided energy for 53 mills spread across 34 villages.

A small entrance gives access to this fairly deep cave. It owes its name to Doctor Herrings, a village doctor with a passion for caving who died here following a landslide in 1914.

Enormous cellar whose entrance is 4 m high. It is currently filled. It is one of the rare caves known in Alsace.

The Allée des Hêtres is made up of a remarkable alignment of around 40 trees, each over 150 years old. It undoubtedly offers one of the most beautiful views of the Alsatian Jura over the neighboring Swiss Jura.
