The top of this mountain is bald as the name implies. This means that you have a 360 degree view of the mountains around you. There's a radio antenna here and a nice clear area. Perfect for a few photos.

The mountain path runs through the Pla de Boavi in a fantastic environment, the valley is very closed and completely surrounds the welcoming meadows of Boavi, it is a gap cracked by old glacial ice between huge and vertical slopes, the summits seem unattainable. And the forests overflow with beauty, wildlife and naturalness. The main lane has rut marks that go all the way to the meadow but you can walk anywhere. At the end, the path reaches the canyon that joins the torrents of Sellente, Broate and Romedo and creates the river of Noguerra de Lladorre. The main path continues to be marked with the red and white colors of the long-distance trail and continues over the wooden bridge that crosses the riverbed and climbs through the Broate forest. The path that climbs towards the Romedo and Certascán ponds begins before entering the bridge on the rocks on the left, climbs some aerial ledges over the gorge and immediately begins a fairly steep ascent through the trees of the Romedo ravine.

On our arrival at Pla de Boavi, we will undoubtedly enjoy one of the most beautiful places in the Pyrenees. Always accompanied by the Lladorre river, with several bridges that help us cross it. We can cool off in the little pools of water that are in the area or rest in the beautiful meadow. From this area, many mountain itineraries begin.

At an altitude of 2,330 m and in the area of the Alto Pirineo Natural Park

The Estanys de Mascarida de Dalt are lakes of glacial origin that are located at an altitude of 2441m, at the head of the Vall de Cardós, in the Pallars Sobirà, to the NW. of the town of Tavascan, in the municipal term of Lladorre. Its basin is located between the Pic de la Coma del Forn (2683m), to the N., Campirme (2633m) to the S., and the Montforcado (2634m) to the W. It has an area of 0.42 hectares and a length of 105m. it receives the waters of the mountain and pours them into the Mascarida Lake. They are under the protection of the Alt Pirineu Natural Park.
