A breathtakingly beautiful and magnificent hike to the Argua Garchia caves. It had rained three days before our hike, and we had to be very careful not to slip. Despite this, it was a fantastic hike to the caves that we won't forget. The caves were created to extract sand from the mountains for glassmaking. Unfortunately, the profits weren't sufficient, and the Spanish ceased production. This happened many years ago, and the local poor then used the caves as living quarters. Hardly imaginable by today's standards. A visit is highly recommended and fascinating 👍🏻.

A real eye-catcher is the strangler fig tree, botanically correctly known as the "large-leaved fig" (Ficus macrophylla), a giant tree originating in Australia that begins its life as a parasitic plant within a host tree, eventually overgrowing and smothering it. The structure with its curtains of roots looks almost otherworldly.

The magnificent ficus tree and the surrounding nature are a beautiful sight. A visit is highly recommended and very interesting.

In the truly magical botanical garden there are several trees of this species "Ficus macroohylla", whose aerial roots reach down to the ground and support the heavy treetop like trunks. Absolutely worth seeing and unique
