To avoid confusion (there is the famous "Ruta de los Volcanes" on La Palma), I would call this tour "Through the Caldera des Taburiente". In the parking lot at the creek bed of the Barranco de las Angustias (north of Los Llanos, signposted) taxis are already waiting early in the morning to bring hikers to Los Brecitos in about 20 minutes for a fixed price of 51 euros. The shuttle is mandatory because private parking is not possible there, at the starting point of the tour. Then you hike in a good five hours through the heart of the caldera to the parking lot with lots of views.
