One of the biggest tourist attractions of the Caldera de Taburiente national park, which, however, became so accidentally, since initially it was just a dam to contain the waters of the Caldera. But the iron colored its walls and together with the numerous algae that also cover them, gave rise to this very special place.

Recognizable on most postcard motifs, the Cascada de colores is in reality even more impressive. Funny, too, that one does not really notice that the wall is created artificially (a la "forest for the trees").
Best of all, the Cascade de Colores is the destination of a very nice walk through a Barranco.

The Cascade of Colors is not a natural monument, but neither was it built as a tourist attraction. In the '60s, a wall was built to contain the Caldera water. Iron has fundamentally colored the wall. It combines like a delirious and funny toy with moss and black volcanic earth.

The way here is awesome. We started from the lower parking lot and walked up the whole riverbed. , the Cascada in itself very nice to look at but not very high or wide.
