Only place where bathing is allowed

La Punta de l'Aigua is a mountain located near Paüls, in the Lower Ebro region, Catalonia. It is one of the most prominent peaks in the area and is part of the 100 Peaks challenge of the Federation of Hiking Entities of Catalonia (FEEC).

El Toll Blau is the only pool in which bathing is allowed on the entire Camino de les Estrets.

El salto de agua de Ferrassó is one of the most beautiful in Terra Alta because of its cascading water fall through the ravines of Parque Natural dels Ports.

Nice pool of clear and fresh water with small waterfalls located in the Els Ports Natural Park.

Boxed section where the Riu dels Estrets flows between the Lliberós car park, where we find informative panels about the route and the existing regulations, and the Pontet de Cantavella under the Mola dels Biarnets. Two points can also be distinguished, the Straits of Lliberós, at the height of Mola de Guasc, and the Straits of Arnes at the height of Roca del Duc. Due to its scenic beauty, it attracts a large number of hikers, due to its vertical walls to many climbers and because we find the only place where bathing (Toll Blau) is allowed to large numbers of bathers in the summer. The PR-C 185 goes through this place as well as the Estels del Sud route in its stage between Arnes and Paüls.

the Toll Blau is the only place where swimming is allowed in the entire section of the Straits of Arnes. It is a weir to which they have added a small wall as a reservoir, this makes the retained water level higher. Since 2021, Arnes City Council has taken measures against the agglomeration that occurs in the summer. You must take this into account and consult the town hall's website.

The Coll de la Gilaberta is a traditional pass in the mountains between Paüls and Horta de San Joan. In the meadow of the hill there are metal posts with directions and it is the beginning of the mythical ascent of the Punta del Agua. The beginning of the ascent passes between some curious pine trees and immediately there are some steps through rock to a small hill that seems to have been excavated between two large boulders. The main trail continues straight on towards the head of the Vacarissal ravine. The trail turns to the left (east) and ascends a calcareous spur marked with stone milestones to the top. This section without good visibility can be dangerous. The trail ends at the small plateau of Punta del Agua (1,098 m), there are some rocks and several trees but there is no geodesic vertex, although the views are stunning.
