This is a nice little road to drive, but the road between Lliber and Gata which runs roughly parallel is nicer and quieter (in terms of cars).

I personally try to avoid this road in the direction to Alcalali in times when I expect heavier car traffic. For a more solitary road, you can try the one between Gata de Gorgos and Lliber. This Llosa de Camacho road is better surfaced and more direct, and I prefer it for the descent to Pedreguer.

Beautiful long route along lemon trees followed by departure towards Parcent. From there you can then tackle the 7 km long climb towards Col de Rates
