Laguna Grande is located near Masegosa, in the Serranía de Cuenca. It is part of the Lagunas de El Tobar, which also include Laguna Pequeña and Laguna Ciega. Laguna Grande has a perimeter of about three kilometres and a depth of approximately 20 metres in the centre. Laguna Grande is a wildlife refuge, where otters and various aquatic birds can be observed. It is also an authorised bathing area during the summer, making it a popular destination for visitors.

From it you can see a large part of the Cuenca Mountains and the entire valley of the Escabas River.

Beautiful lagoon. Here you can linger, relax and swim.

The path goes through a corridor of rock formations and ends at the Tormagal de los Navares, where El Picayo is. The tormagales are whims of nature created by environmental erosion on the unique limestone rocks of the Serranía, good known examples are the Enchanted City or Los Callejones de las Majadas. Los Navares are another fantasy of decorative modeling carved by water in the landscapes of the natural park, they are on the edge of the rock that draws the basin of the Trabaque river, there are towers, passageways, towers, isolated plateaus and large walls cut into the abyss of the ravine. The most spectacular formation is El Picayo, a fantastic balcony of the Serranía and the Trabaque river ravine. The entrance to the cliff is at the end of the lane, where the tormagal pole appears. The trail meanders through the trees and rocks to the edge of the cliffs. The return is by the same path until the detour of the forest track and then the trail continues the descent towards Cueva del Saúco and Arcos de la Sierra.

The cave of the Armentero. The steep drop is offset by the spectacular view from the Beteta viewpoint, the end point of the trail where one of the most beautiful anticlines of the Iberian system can be seen.

This lake is really beautiful. It is a wonderful place to camp.
