You can also stay overnight at the Tanzboden, for example, if you're hiking the Toggenburg High Trail. Please note, however, that reservations cannot be made from Sunday to Monday or Monday to Tuesday, as Monday is a day of rest. Anni and Köbi are super nice hosts. I wouldn't want to miss the mosquito fart after dinner and the "dewormer" when I say goodbye in the morning.

Danger! Severe storms sometimes occur here that do not appear in the weather forecast and cannot be seen from the valley. Check out Windy beforehand to be on the safe side and take gaiters with you, as there can still be deep snow in April and you can sink in heavily. Not a hike for inexperienced people.

Rel steep ascent on asphalt road from Wolfsgrueb. The restaurant is closed on Mondays / Tuesdays. Below Alp Scheidegg, Rtg Brandegg, the paragliders and model pilots start. From the Scheidegg it is worth making a detour up to the Brandegg, or directly from the Scheidegg down to Ueberzütt and onto the Hüttchopf.
