A beautiful starting point for the Aare riverside trail. The train station is right next to the castle, and there are also free parking spaces.

The Balmfluh castle ruins are clearly visible from the trail. It's worth getting off your bike for a moment and taking a look at the old walls.

Very nicely located, the whole complex is well-kept and simply beautiful. The water in the moat looks almost "Maldivian" in color:-)

Thanks to the public transport stop and free parking spaces, it is an ideal starting point for beautiful trips along the Aare (Aareuferweg).

Even if you don't immediately notice it in the small, pretty green, mossy house that seems to be half-sunk into the ground, it is, or rather "it was" the forerunner of today's refrigerator.
