One more thing: Tolls are NOK 70 for cars and NOK 140 for RVs. At the parking lot below, there are some gravel areas suitable for overnight stays. Next to them is an outhouse. Above the parking lot is a DNT hut with toilets, showers, and water. After a hike to the glacier, an overnight stay with a view of the glacier is highly recommended!

Rocky summit where there is some shelter should the weather come in. There are numerous paths off of the top so it can be quite confusing to the find the right route down.

Please note the barriers! They are for protection! A glacier can suddenly break off, ice and masses of water can take everything around with them. Unfortunately, there have already been some accidents here.

The hike to Austerdalsbreen is worthwhile. Here you can be very close to a glacier. Please pay attention to the barriers.

Great hike, not very demanding, but be careful, sturdy shoes are a MUST. I don't mean the China flip flops
