The Waregem Cycling Team uses the woods behind the football field in the Lendedreef as a training location for cyclocross lessons. At their request, the municipal authorities made a number of adjustments: on one of the hills they installed a series of stairs and there was also a training field with beams that the cyclists have to jump over. At the flood basin you can choose between the 'most walked path' or the 'alternative route' on the other side of the basin. This promises some nice views of the basin... and that's true. Quite muddy, but that's to be expected when walking around a flood basin.

Trees are nicely cleaned up and stacked as a mountain, easy to drive over. Nice technical course with many scarce turns

nice gravel climb, both wet and dry, easily doable with a gravel bike

There has been sand here for several years. The normal subsoil is rather soil from loam and clay. That was much easier to drive, now in dry weather it is a difficult and dangerous passage because the sand has a very different depth.

Storm damage not accessible for the moment, too many fallen trees.
