9월 12, 2024, Pian del Lago Wetland
Situated on the crest of the Val Petronio and Val Graveglia, Pian del Lago is one of the very few natural wetlands located on the maritime side of the Ligurian Apennines. This location is located in a basin of great geomorphological interest, relevant for paleoclimatic study. The Bargone lake, which was present here, is now completely dried up.

Great view from the church over the sea from the steep coast. The circular route is also popular with mountain bikers.

2월 13, 2023, Lago di Bargone
Lake Bargone is located in the upper valley of the Petronio torrent, behind Sestri Levante, in the municipality of Casarza Ligure. It is one of the few natural wetlands on the maritime side of the Ligurian Apennines, formed as a result of glacial phenomena. The pond is located in a hollowed basin at the head of the valley of the Bargonasco stream, one of the main tributaries of the Petronio. The area of Lake Bargone is always flooded and occupies just under half of the basin. Lake Bargone, despite its shallowness, never dries up thanks to the constant supply of perennial springs. Obviously it can be reached on foot, via fairly easy and panoramic paths, by bike (via a very bad local shop) exclusively with mtb and car (preferably off-road) even if it would be reserved for those entitled to it. The panorama, especially on clear and clear days, is unmissable with a view of Sestri Levante, Riva Trigoso and Punta Chiappa.

Easy to drive from the Cavi side and definitely nicer than through the tunnel, but in some places the path is already very narrow, so if there are many hikers it could be difficult.

At my Pass he was completely dry! A practical friend of this area informed me that even if it is dry, there are particular and specific plants and animals of this bog.

Saint Anne is the mother of the Blessed Mother Mary, who is not attested in the biblical texts, i.e. the grandmother of Jesus Christ. However, it is mentioned in apocryphal (i.e. not included in the canon of the Bible) writings, for example in the so-called “Protoevangelium of James”. There is no historically reliable information about Anna's life, but there are numerous traditional stories, which are summarized, for example, in the medieval "Legenda Aurea" by the Dominican monk Jacobus de Voragine. Among other things, she is the patron of the St. Anna Church in Düren (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany), where a piece of her skull is kept as a relic. In the church calendar, Saint Anna's memorial day - together with her husband Joachim - is on July 26th.

According to some studies carried out on site, especially on the chronology of the building, the construction of the church could not have been earlier than the second half of the 16th century. Traces of these 16th-century works are in fact still visible in some parts of the main building, which instead dates from the 18th century. The first written mention of the church dates back to 1506, even though the church is only shown on maps from the end of the 16th century. According to the documents of the notary Vincenzo Molfino found by the historian Arturo Ferretto, a document dated July 10, 1516 from the vicar of the archbishopric of Genoa testifies to the construction of the chapel dedicated to Sant'Anna thanks to the alms given by the pious during the daily masses Wives of the local Musso, Oxio and Morinello families were collected. The church is also mentioned in a 1537 document by the Genoese chronicler Agostino Giustiniani. A religious cult for the saint and consequently for the building, further commemorated by a decree of July 23, 1578 of the Bishop of Brugnato, Monsignor Antonio Pagliettino, and the Podestà of Sestri Levante, Donato Bogiano; a festival officially declared a popular festival for nine days in 1647 by an act of the Senate of the Republic of Genoa. On August 31, 1673, during a pastoral visit, Monsignor Giovanni Battista Da Dieci ordered some minor work to be done on the sacristy and the bell tower of the church. On the other hand, the works commissioned in the 18th century were larger and more demanding, as evidenced by a public auction held on November 5, 1727, and the work being awarded to a local mason on August 6, 1728. The church almost certainly fell out of office from 1810, after some places of worship were closed and religious orders suppressed by the new pro-French administration of the Apennine department (First French Empire). The subsequent opening of the new Napoleonic coastal road under today's coastal section of the state road 1 Via Aurelia - an unstoppable and rapid abandonment of the historical path and thus also of the church decided; The latter had already partially collapsed in 1820.
