아모로시‬에서 가장 멋진 ‪8‬개의 천연기념물

A regional park located on the Taburno Camposauro massif in the province of Benevento. A destination much appreciated by hikers and cyclists for the beauty of its beech woods and the views of the plain below.

This regional park was established in 2002 and is located in the province of Benevento. It takes its name from the two highest peaks: the Taburno mountains (1,394 m) and Camposauro (1,388 m). Inside the protected area, vast open spaces alternate with thick woods, especially beech woods.

Lake Telese is of natural origin and is located in the heart of the Telesina Valley. It is possible to walk around the perimeter of the basin thanks to a beautiful path of about one kilometre. Bathing is not permitted for safety reasons.

Circular lake of karst origin, bathing is not permitted given the depth of its waters.

Pizzo dei Favi is located within the Taburno Regional Park, at a height of 1187 metres. The closest refuge is the Vitulano refuge. From here it is possible to enjoy a 360 degree panoramic view, and you can see Monte Miletto, Monte Rosa, Monte Altorotondi and many other peaks around.

Monte Acero is 736 m high and a particularity are the three kilometers of dry stone wall at the top. These are from the 6th century BC, and there is also a statue dedicated to Jesus the Redeemer. Every first Sunday of August a pilgrimage is organized to this monument which starts from Cerreto Sannita.

This is the largest and deepest sinkhole on the plateau, where it is possible to appreciate the exposure of the limestone rock. Pay close attention to the area, as the path runs along the edge of the sinkhole, which has collapsed in places.
