Lake Brasimone (also known as the Scalere basin and the Brasimone basin) is an artificial lake located in the Bolognese Apennines along the Brasimone stream, in the municipality of Camugnano and is part of the Suviana and Brasimone lakes regional park.

Particular "gruyere" caves

The Labante Caves were formed thanks to the river coming from the San Cristoforo spring, which forms a small waterfall here. The spring has an average summer flow rate of around 11 liters per second and is used as a water and drinking supply. Inside, you can admire stalactites, stalagmites and other limestone formations, as well as fossils of extinct animals. Furthermore, the Soprasasso Caves are an important habitat for several species of bats, some of which are in danger of extinction.
